I had a wonderful time with the River City Dollmakers late last month in Cincinnati. We created full body sculptures in polymer clay and learned a lot from each other. One of the best things about teaching is what you learn from your students.
I have been taking an online class myself this month on www.joggles.com with Dion Dior. The class is all about using Inktense water color pencils and what a revelation they have been to me. Dion does a fantastic job of organizing her class into instruction and exercises which I love. Quite a bit different than working on just one project for weeks. I know I'll use these pencils and my new brushes on all kinds of media besides sketch book pages, cloth and paperclay are very promising. Dash is a peek at what I've been doing.
Next up is teaching at John C. Campbell in North Carolina from July 22-28.
We will be sculpting Character Heads in Creative Paperclay® my favorite type of clay. There may still be room for you in this class, visit their website to check it out. The place is magical!
